Your driveway is another area we prepare before work begins.
We place a tarp over the driveway to create an additional barrier between our work and the surface underneath. This helps protect the driveway from potential gas or oil leaks from equipment while also providing an additional layer of protection against roofing nails and debris ending up where you drive and park your vehicles.
Don’t Forget the AC Unit!
Outdoor equipment around the house needs protection, too.
Before tear-off, we take steps to protect the outdoor AC unit from falling shingles, nails, and other roofing debris.
It’s another small detail that’s easy to overlook but protecting your property means thinking about more than just the obvious areas.
Protection Doesn’t End Until Cleanup Is Finished
Installing the roof isn’t the end of the job.
Once the project is complete, our crew thoroughly cleans the surrounding property and runs magnets throughout the work area to pick up stray roofing nails.
That’s especially important if you have children or pets using the yard. We don’t want anyone finding a leftover roofing nail after we’re gone.
And we’re not only looking directly around your house. If a neighbor’s driveway is close to the project, we’ll check that area as well to help make sure a stray nail or piece of debris hasn’t traveled farther than expected.
